You're a Management Accountant. You know what you're doing. Spreadsheets don't scare you. Forecasts, budgets, variances - you're on first name terms with all of them.
But you're not just churning out numbers. You've got more to offer. You want to take real ownership. Lead a team. Have a voice in the room when the big stuff gets discussed.
This role is that.
You'll be the Senior Management Accountant, managing a team of Finance Administrator and Assistant Management Accountants level colleagues. You'll own the end-to-end accounts prep and submission process. This isn't just plugging numbers into a template someone else made. This is full oversight. From data collection to month-end packs to year-end close, and everything in between.
You'll be reporting directly to the Finance Director. That means your commentary and insight actually matters. You won't be stuck explaining variance reports to people who don't listen. These are senior financial stakeholders who expect - and respect - clear, commercial thinking.
Here's a rough idea of what you'll be doing as Senior Management Accountant:
- Leading, mentoring and developing the management accounts team
- Delivering accurate monthly management accounts with full analysis
- Owning the budgeting and forecasting process
- Business partnering with heads of departments across the company
- Improving processes and bringing better ways of working to the table
- Preparing packs and reporting for senior financial and business stakeholders
- Getting stuck into ad hoc projects and system improvements (you know the drill)
What we're looking for:You might be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), partly qualified, or qualified by experience. It's the know-how that counts for this role. If you've got the track record, you'll be considered.
