- Kinetic Recruitment is seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers for a long-term contract at National Grid substations in Yorkshire from June 2025 to December 2026.
- The position offers an attractive hourly rate of approximately £40-45 per hour.
- Candidates must possess a valid ECS or CSCS card and National Grid Persons certification, along with proven experience in substation, industrial, or energy sector projects.
- Requirements also include Northern Powergrid codes/authorisations up to 132kV and a strong understanding of health and safety standards.
- Flexibility to travel and work away as needed is essential for this role.
As Commissioning Engineer you will be undertaking commissioning activities / duties on a wide range of transmission power system plant, control and protection and other substation equipment to a high level of competence.
Commissioning Engineer Requirements:
Valid ECS or CSCS card (essential)
National Grid Persons certification (essential)
Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer, ideally within substation, industrial, or energy sector projects
Northern Powergrid codes/ authorisations up to 132kV
NPg commissioning codes to work with new relay panels and items of plant
Strong understanding of health and safety standards
Flexibility to travel and work away when required
