Site Manager Social Housing (New Build & Refurbishment)

£45,000 - £55,000 + Package


Our client is a leading contractor specialising in social housing developments, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality new builds and refurbishment projects. With a growing portfolio of projects across Yorkshire, they are committed to improving communities through excellence in construction and service delivery.

They are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of social housing sites, including both new build and refurbishment schemes. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
  • Supervise subcontractors, trades, and direct labour.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times.
  • Oversee site logistics, deliveries, and schedules.
  • Monitor project budgets and report on financial performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project team.
  • Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • Manage quality assurance processes and handover documentation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in social housing (both new build and refurbishment).
  • SMSTS, CSCS Card (Black or Gold), and First Aid at Work certification.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and health & safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and work to tight deadlines.
  • IT literate (knowledge of project management software beneficial).
  • Full UK driving licence.
