This isn't your average FP&A Analyst role. There's no endless Excel-cranking in a dark room while someone "senior" tells you how to colour your graphs. This is commercial, it's cross-functional. It's visibility across a group of businesses that are moving fast and growing faster. So yes, the numbers need to be right, but they also need to mean something. That's where you come in.
What you'll actually do (not just the usual spreadsheet buzzwords):
- Help build budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans that don't collapse at the first "what if?"
- Create and maintain financial models. Not just a million tabs with VLOOKUPs. Actual models that tell a story.
- Dig into operational data, spot the oddities, figure out why, and explain it like a human.
- Partner with people across the business who don't speak finance, and make sure they still get it.
- Support management accounts and month-end close. Yes, we said "support" - you're not doing it all.
- Help improve systems and processes.
- Be curious, be commercial, and be the annoying one who always asks "but why?".
About you:
- You're either qualified or part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- You've worked in FP&A, management accounts, or similar before.
- Excel is your second language.
- You've used accounting software.
- You can explain things simply.
- You've got good commercial acumen, you know what matters and what doesn't.
- You don't panic under pressure, you prioritise, communicate and crack on.
A bit about them:The pace is fast, the work is varied, and the commercial finance team is growing. This role reports into a genuinely switched-on Head of FP&A who wants someone sharp, curious, and willing to get stuck in. You'll be in the office three days a week.
Salary is £35k-£40k (depending on experience) + study support.
