Clinical Negligence Solicitor (Grade B or Equivalent) – Remote or Hybrid in Leeds

A leading regional law firm with a well-established reputation in clinical negligence is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor (Grade B or equivalent) to join its growing and highly accredited team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) who is seeking a new challenge in a progressive and supportive environment.

Working alongside a team that includes APIL, AvMA and Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel-accredited specialists, you will manage a caseload of clinical negligence matters independently and take a proactive, client-focused and commercially minded approach to your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running your own caseload of clinical negligence claims from instruction through to resolution, including litigation where required
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior colleagues across the team
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and senior management to meet team KPIs and performance goals
  • Drafting legal documentation including letters of claim, instructions to experts and settlement negotiations
  • Issuing and serving legal proceedings and managing claims through to trial where appropriate
  • Ensuring all case progression is handled efficiently and in line with client expectations
  • Supporting the Head of Department in delivering high standards of service and achieving departmental objectives

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years PQE (or equivalent) in clinical negligence law
  • Proven experience managing a caseload independently with excellent outcomes
  • Strong communication, drafting and negotiation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Sound commercial awareness and understanding of working within a target-driven legal environment
  • Confidence in mentoring junior team members and sharing technical expertise
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience with case management systems
