EC&I Engineer - The Role:

  • Work as part of the Maintenance team to ensure the Top Tier COMAH site is operating in a safe and productive manner
  • Creating EC&I drawings (e.g., Block Cable Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams), technical specifications, and basis of design documents.  
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, legislation, and project requirements, including safety and functional safety aspects.
  • Supporting the commissioning process.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues, often requiring a proactive approach.
  • Maintain and upgrade DCS/PLC and hard-wired control systems.
  • Maintain and upgrade PLC based control loops.
  • Coordinate functional testing of basic process control systems.
  • Read and extract information from drawings, specification diagrams, operation, and maintenance manuals.
  • Perform and record risk assessments for routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Work with the project team delivering and commissioning on site projects.
  • Be actively involved in training and continuous improvement, write up training notes and share information with the EC & I Technicians

EC&I Engineer - The Person:

  • Prior experience of DCS controls systems
  • Familiar with BS7671 regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations and ATEX Regulations
  • Knowledge of BS EN 61508 and BS EN 61511
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective coaching and performance management skills

Located in the Leeds area, this role would be commutable from Bradford, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Castleford and surrounding areas.
