About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of History to join a thriving Humanities department at a forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds. Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for History
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality History lessons to KS3 and KS4 learners

  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations in History
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide effective feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and wider Humanities provision
  • Promote historical thinking and cultural awareness across the school
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events and CPD opportunities
