Job Title: Claims Technician - Domestic Major Loss
Location:Leeds (Hybrid)
Salary: up to £29k
- Support Loss Adjusters with Commercial Property claims, including Business Interruption and property damage
- Act as the first point of contact for policyholders
- Guide customers through the claims process with empathy and clarity
- Liaise with adjusters, contractors, and insurers to ensure fair, efficient claim resolution
- Ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, clear communication, and making a positive impact
Acting as the initial point of contact for customers, managing communication throughout the lifecycle of a claim
Assisting Loss Adjusters with claim investigation, triage, file setup, and technical support
Collaborating with contractors, brokers, and insurers to drive proactive claims resolution
Ensuring cases are updated, diarised, and closed efficiently while adhering to SLAs
Supporting complex or high-volume claims during surge periods
Participating in technical reporting and documentation as required
Maintaining excellent customer service throughout the claims process
Claims handling experience is essential ideally within property-related claims
Strong customer service and communication skills both written and verbal
A conscientious, flexible and team-focused attitude
Ability to self-manage a busy caseload and prioritise effectively
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and general IT systems
Interest in or experience with loss adjusting is highly desirable
A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
