Job Title: Claims Technician - Domestic Major Loss

Location:Leeds (Hybrid)

Salary: up to £29k


The Opportunity:

  • Support Loss Adjusters with Commercial Property claims, including Business Interruption and property damage
  • Act as the first point of contact for policyholders
  • Guide customers through the claims process with empathy and clarity
  • Liaise with adjusters, contractors, and insurers to ensure fair, efficient claim resolution
  • Ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, clear communication, and making a positive impact

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Acting as the initial point of contact for customers, managing communication throughout the lifecycle of a claim

  • Assisting Loss Adjusters with claim investigation, triage, file setup, and technical support

  • Collaborating with contractors, brokers, and insurers to drive proactive claims resolution

  • Ensuring cases are updated, diarised, and closed efficiently while adhering to SLAs

  • Supporting complex or high-volume claims during surge periods

  • Participating in technical reporting and documentation as required

  • Maintaining excellent customer service throughout the claims process


About You Knowledge and Experience:

  • Claims handling experience is essential ideally within property-related claims

  • Strong customer service and communication skills both written and verbal

  • A conscientious, flexible and team-focused attitude

  • Ability to self-manage a busy caseload and prioritise effectively

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and general IT systems

  • Interest in or experience with loss adjusting is highly desirable

  • A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
