Role: Account Handler – Commercial InsuranceLocation: Morley, LeedsSalary: £25,000 - £33,000 pa  - dependent on experienceHours: Monday-Friday, 8.45-5.15pm Our Client: Our client, an independent, innovative, and results-driven Commercial Insurance company based in Morley, is seeking a dynamic Account Handler with Commercial Insurance experience, to join and support their team . This is an exciting opportunity offering strong career progression prospects. As an Account Handler you would be responsible for generating revenue and profit by providing direct account management support to clients and the Client Service Director within the commercial insurance sector, ensuring strict adherence to FCA compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities of the Account Handler – Commercial Insurance: 
  • Build and maintain professional client relationships, providing expert product advice.
  • Manage daily client communications, including telephone and basic queries.
  • Handle incoming post and maintain diaries.
  • Check policy documentation and issue Green Cards.
  • Process mid-term adjustments (MTAs) and obtain renewal terms.
  • Manage claims: initial handling, FNOL receipt, and referral of complex cases.
  • Oversee vehicle declarations: review adjustments and claims, calculate premiums, submit to insurers, update records, invoice clients, and instruct GRM when needed.
  • Process vehicle amendments: update records, process MID, notify insurers, and confirm with clients.
  • Manage driver referrals: gather client information, liaise with insurers, confirm terms, and update records.
  • Conduct file handovers and confirm cover: verify MID accuracy, update vehicle schedules, risk registers, declaration spreadsheets, issue confirmations, and maintain CRM trackers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, FCA conduct rules, data security, and best practice guidelines.
  • Handle complaints per company policy and support business needs, including premium collection, aged debt queries, invoicing, and adjustments.
  Skills & Experience required for the role:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Commercial Insurance account management.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Solid understanding of insurance compliance, including FCA conduct rules.
  • Proficient in IT systems and confident using digital tools in a professional environment.
