The Opportunity

A leading national law firm is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Negligence Solicitor to join its highly regarded clinical negligence department in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a team that deals with complex, multi-track claims, making a real impact in the lives of individuals affected by medical errors.

You will manage your own varied caseload while also supporting senior lawyers on more complex, high-value claims involving serious injuries, including birth injuries, spinal trauma, cancer misdiagnosis and fatal incidents. From early investigations to securing interim payments and achieving fair settlements, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate and results-driven legal support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a caseload of medical negligence matters, managing cases from inception to resolution
  • Support senior solicitors on complex, high-value claims
  • Conduct legal research, draft correspondence and prepare documentation
  • Liaise with clients, medical experts and counsel to progress cases effectively
  • Aim to secure interim payments to assist with rehabilitation, care and accommodation
