Senior Family Solicitor – Exceptional Opportunity with Leading Yorkshire Law Firm – Leeds

I am delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor to join a highly respected and well-established regional law firm that has one of the strongest presences in Yorkshire.

This is a brilliant opening for a senior-level candidate, ideally with over 5 years' experience and a recognised presence in the Yorkshire legal market. A following of clients would be highly advantageous. You will have the chance to contribute to the growth and development of a firm that is regarded as one of the most accredited and reputable practices in the region.

Management or supervisory experience is also preferred.

The Role:

Along with being a key member in the development of the Family Department and wider business, you will manage a varied caseload across all areas of family law, including:

  • Divorce and separation matters
  • Financial settlements and related finance work
  • Child arrangements and contact issues
  • Domestic abuse remedies
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements

The caseload will consist of a mix of private and publicly funded work, requiring a strong understanding of both funding types. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive client care from initial instruction to final resolution, including court representation where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing your own caseload of family law matters from inception to completion
  • Advising and representing clients at all stages, including legal aid applications
  • Drafting court documents, statements and applications
  • Engaging with new client enquiries and maintaining high client service standards
  • Providing support and mentorship to junior fee earners within the family department

The Firm:

This award-winning Yorkshire firm is recognised for its outstanding legal expertise, boasting an impressive range of accreditations. It is committed to supporting a positive work-life balance and offers an excellent hybrid working model.

Benefits include:

  • Generous holiday allowance up to 31 days
  • An annual and guaranteed substantial bonus
  • Flexible hybrid working
  • Discounted travel and Health Cash Plan
  • Payroll giving scheme for tax-free charitable donations
  • Support with professional memberships and subscriptions
  • Death in Service Life Assurance (3x salary)
  • Interest-free travel loan
  • Free conveyancing and will services for employees
  • Regular social events and wellbeing initiatives

About You:

Ideally, you will have around 5 years’ PQE, though applications from slightly less experienced solicitors with the right skill set and ambition will also be considered.

If you are an experienced family solicitor or fee earner with a methodical approach, strong advocacy skills and a genuine passion for client care, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a prestigious and forward-thinking firm.
