Conveyancing Assistant – Guiseley | Residential & New Build | Full-Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a busy and well-established property team based in Guiseley. This role will support both the residential sales and purchases as well as new build property transactions, offering a varied and client-facing workload.

You will be confident in handling a high volume of administrative tasks in a fast-paced legal environment. Previous experience in conveyancing is essential, particularly in sales and purchase transactions, as we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening new client files and inputting instructions into the Case Management System
  • Drafting and producing standard letters and legal documents
  • Updating case files in line with internal procedures as transactions progress
  • Assisting with issuing contracts and dealing with enquiries on sale files
  • Ordering property searches and preparing reports for clients
  • Supporting the team with exchanges and completions
  • Managing incoming post, phone enquiries and general file administration
  • Providing assistance with billing, archiving and other administrative duties as required

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • A minimum of 12 months’ experience in a conveyancing role, specifically in residential sales and purchase
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • Highly organised with the capacity to manage a demanding workload
  • Proficient IT and keyboard skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A flexible, proactive and professional approach to work
