Conveyancing Assistant – Chapel Allerton, Leeds | Residential Property | Career Development Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a thriving residential property team at a well-established law firm based in Chapel Allerton, Leeds.

This full-time position is ideal for candidates with at least 12 months of experience in residential sales and purchase conveyancing. You’ll be supporting a busy team of property professionals and working in a client-facing role, where excellent communication and organisational skills are key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening new client files and entering instructions into the Case Management system
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents and standard correspondence
  • Updating files and systems throughout each stage of the transaction
  • Issuing contracts on sale files and assisting with enquiries
  • Ordering searches and managing all relevant paperwork relating to exchanges and completions
  • Issuing mortgage reports to clients and preparing for completion
  • Handling incoming post and telephone queries professionally
  • Assisting with general administration tasks including filing, billing and archiving

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience working in a conveyancing support role
  • Solid understanding of residential sale and purchase processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload
  • Proficient IT skills and confident using case management systems
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
