Are you an experienced legal secretary looking for a new opportunity in a well-established, supportive team? Our client, a respected law firm based in Leeds, is seeking a dedicated Litigation Secretary to join their busy Litigation department.

This full-time, permanent position has become available due to the departure of a long-standing team member who has been with the firm for over 22 years - a testament to the firm’s excellent working culture and stability.

The Role:

Working alongside one other secretary, you will support a team of three key fee earners, with additional support provided across the wider litigation group, including partners and senior solicitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Typing and formatting a range of legal documents and correspondence

  • Assisting with billing and time recording

  • File management, including file opening and closing processes

  • Diary and calendar management

  • Supporting multiple fee earners with administrative tasks

  • Liaising with clients, courts, and other legal professionals as required

About You:
  • Previous experience as a legal secretary in litigation, ideally commercial or property litigation

  • Strong typing and document formatting skills

  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail

  • Confident communicator with a proactive and team-focused approach

  • Comfortable working in a busy environment and managing multiple priorities
