The Role
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated FMCG manufacturing facility in South Leeds. Working in a team of 4 engineers (alongside a senior engineer), you will provide electrical and mechanical support to ensure production runs smoothly across a fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role involving both reactive and planned maintenance, with excellent opportunities to develop your skills in automation and Siemens S7 systems.
Shifts: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off
Salary: 50,000 - 53,000 per annum (up to 57,000 for exceptional candidates) + Annual Pay Review
Location: Large-scale manufacturing site in South Leeds

Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of packaging, filling, sealing, and capping equipment.
- Work as part of a team of 4 engineers across rotating shifts.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring minimum downtime.
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food manufacturing standards.
- Liaise with production teams and senior engineers to prioritise tasks effectively.
Candidate Profile
- FMCG or high-volume manufacturing experience (essential).
- Multi-skilled engineer - electrically biased preferred, but mechanically biased with solid electrical knowledge will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding, and automation equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible team player with excellent communication skills.
