About the Role

We are seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join the passionate team of the school in Leeds. This is a full-time maternity cover position starting 22nd April 2025, ideal for a committed educator with a deep love for music and a flair for inspiring young people. You'll teach Music across KS3, KS4, and KS5, supporting students in developing their musical understanding, creativity, and performance skills.

The Music Department plays a key role in the life of the school, contributing to assemblies, concerts, worship, and whole-school events.

Position Details

  • Location: Leeds
  • Contract: Permanent full-time (September 2025)
  • Pay Rate: £31650 - £49084 per annum

Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the music curriculum
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Create and maintain a stimulating classroom environment
  • Promote musical diversity and cultural appreciation
  • Collaborate with other departments for cross-curricular projects
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
