About the RoleWe are seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join the passionate team of the school in Leeds. This is a full-time maternity cover position starting 22nd April 2025, ideal for a committed educator with a deep love for music and a flair for inspiring young people. You'll teach Music across KS3, KS4, and KS5, supporting students in developing their musical understanding, creativity, and performance skills.

Position Details
- Location: Leeds
- Contract: Permanent full-time (September 2025)
- Pay Rate: £31650 - £49084 per annum
Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the music curriculum
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Music exams
- Assess, track, and report student progress
- Lead or support extracurricular music clubs and ensembles
- Organise and participate in school concerts and performances
- Create and maintain a stimulating classroom environment
- Promote musical diversity and cultural appreciation
- Collaborate with other departments for cross-curricular projects
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
