We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroller to join a local Accountancy Practice based on the outskirts of Leeds. The ideal candidate will have experience working within an accountancy practice and be confident managing payroll processes for multiple clients.

Key Responsibilities• Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients• Calculating statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP• Submitting RTI reports to HMRC• Managing pension contributions and auto-enrolment duties• Handling payroll queries from clients and providing advice on payroll legislation• Preparing P45s, P60s, and other end-of-year payroll documents• Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and ensuring compliance at all times• Supporting the wider accounts team when required

Requirements• Previous experience in a payroll position within an accountancy practice is essential• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC procedures• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. Sage Payroll or similar)• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy• Strong communication and client service skills• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
