Production Supervisor

The Role

You will work in an automated food production environment which has been upgraded to state of the art machinery within the last 2 years. Managing a small team of 8 people your duties will include…

·      Organisation of your team for production and carry out a shift handover

·      Monitoring of KPIs to ensure production, quality and H&S targets are being achieved

·      Hourly reporting of KPIs and leading of production huddles to bring management and team up to speed with information

·      Training and development of new starters and existing staff members including 121s, performance improvement plans etc.

·      Motivating of team members

·      Updating of paperwork and systems

·      Ensure food quality and safety legislation is adhered to

Production Supervisor

The Candidate

You must have experience of working as a Team Leader, Line Leader, Production Supervisor, FLM or Shift Manager. You will also have the following skills, experiences and attributes…

·      Must have experience of working within the Food production industry

·      Must have supervisory / managerial experience

·      Ideally you will have knowledge of both low and high care food production environments but this is not essential

·      Ideally you will have previously worked within a chilled production environment before but this is not essential

·      Experience of monitoring and reporting on KPIs

·      A formal management qualification would be beneficial but is not essential

·      Good knowledge of H&S, BRC, HACCP and food quality standards

·      A positive problem solving attitude
