Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading UK manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Indirect Buyer on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of indirect categories within a complex, multi-site environment, driving commercial value and operational efficiency.
The Role:As Indirect Buyer, you’ll be responsible for managing indirect procurement categories such as facilities management, professional services, utilities, and environmental services. You’ll work cross-functionally with stakeholders at various levels to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure the business receives best-in-class service and value.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading sourcing activities and contract negotiations across indirect spend areas

Developing category strategies that align with business objectives and sustainability targets

Building and maintaining effective supplier relationships and performance frameworks

Collaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple UK sites to ensure procurement supports operational needs

Delivering measurable cost savings and driving continuous improvement

Ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations
We are looking for a commercially driven procurement professional with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across functions.
You will have:

Proven experience in indirect procurement or category management

Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environment

Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach

A focus on value delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement

Knowledge of sustainability or ESG-related procurement practices is desirable
