Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - (Drylining Subcontractor)

Location: Leeds (Office/ Site Based)

Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 + Package

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our drylining team in Leeds. With projects spanning across Yorkshire and Manchester, this role offers a strong site presence and responsibility for managing the financial and commercial aspects of drylining, suspended ceilings, and partitioning packages. You will take ownership of cost control, valuations, and subcontractor procurement, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and close collaboration with project teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Senior QS to play a key role in delivering high-quality interior fit-out projects across multiple sectors.

  • Strong all-round knowledge of Drylining

Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the preparation and submission of valuations, cost reports, interim applications, and final accounts for drylining, suspended ceilings, and partitioning packages
  • Oversee measurement and quantification of materials and labour from drawings, ensuring accuracy in cost planning and forecasting
  • Lead the procurement process, including tendering, negotiation, and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitor and control project costs and budgets, managing variations and change orders to maximise project profitability
  • Maintain a strong site presence across Yorkshire and surrounding regions, conducting regular visits to assess progress, verify completed works, and support commercial reporting
  • Work closely with site teams and project managers to ensure alignment between financial performance and on-site delivery
  • Review and authorise subcontractor payment applications, variations, and final accounts
  • Ensure robust commercial records, cost files, and reporting systems are maintained in line with company standards
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyors, supporting their development within the team
  • Represent the business at client meetings and internal commercial reviews, providing accurate updates on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
