Our client is looking for someone to work a 4-on-4-off shift pattern (2Days, 2Nights) for a competitive salary. Our client is also looking for a candidate who is an experiencedEngineering Depot Supervisor looking to continue growing their career or an experienced technician who is looking to take a step up, expand their knowledge and pursue a new avenue of responsibilities.

For this role, your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and coordinate a team of technicians in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of rolling stock vehicles, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on time.
  • Supervise daily operations on the shop floor, allocating workloads and providing technical guidance to resolve complex mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and safety-first mindset.
  • Conduct quality control checks and sign off completed work to ensure it meets engineering standards and company specifications.
  • Liaise with planning and engineering departments to manage priorities, minimize downtime, and support project delivery schedules.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to develop skills and maintain high-performance standards across the workforce.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, faults, and corrective actions using digital maintenance systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring faults and improve fleet reliability.

This role will be suited to a candidate who is knowledgeable across both mechanical and electrical work. This can be from any form of mechanical or electrical industry where heavy, hands-on work has been experienced.
