Macildowie are working with this client based in South West Leicestershire who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager for c4-6mnths to oversee the financial operations of a leading manufacturing and distribution business. This pivotal role reports to the Managing Director and Group CFO, ensuring robust financial management and strategic planning across the UK operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all day-to-day finance operations, including purchasing, payroll, and stock control.
  • Manage period-end closing activities for statutory and managerial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee budget preparation and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and manage cash flow, payments, and banking activities.
  • Coordinate tax declarations with external consultants, including VAT and tax credits.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, managing relationships with key finance partners and service suppliers.
  • Support operations and project teams with BoM costing and complex project analysis.

Essential Qualifications:

Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong accounting experience, being hands on, with proficiency in UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • At least 5 years in a similar managerial role within a multinational company.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

NB: This roles is inside IR35 & requires someone onsite every day (with some flexibility available on start/finish times) however they would also consider someone on 3 or 4 days a week, It is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional!
