Macildowie are working with this client based in South West Leicestershire who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager for c4-6mnths to oversee the financial operations of a leading manufacturing and distribution business. This pivotal role reports to the Managing Director and Group CFO, ensuring robust financial management and strategic planning across the UK operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all day-to-day finance operations, including purchasing, payroll, and stock control.
- Manage period-end closing activities for statutory and managerial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee budget preparation and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Prepare annual financial statements and manage cash flow, payments, and banking activities.
- Coordinate tax declarations with external consultants, including VAT and tax credits.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, managing relationships with key finance partners and service suppliers.
- Support operations and project teams with BoM costing and complex project analysis.
Essential Qualifications:
Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong accounting experience, being hands on, with proficiency in UK GAAP and IFRS.
- At least 5 years in a similar managerial role within a multinational company.
- Proven people management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
NB: This roles is inside IR35 & requires someone onsite every day (with some flexibility available on start/finish times) however they would also consider someone on 3 or 4 days a week, It is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional!
