We are recruiting a job opportunity for a long-standing firm of accountants based in Leicester, who are looking to hire a Semi-Senior to Senior Accountant, ideally with audit experience. The role will include a relatively even blend of Accounts and Audit work.

The salary is negotiable, will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason. The firm are open on hiring for either part-time or full-time hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Preparation: Prepare year-end accounts for a range of SME clients
  • Corporation Tax: Prepare and review tax computations and returns
  • Audit Support: Participate in audits (planning, fieldwork, completion)
  • Client Contact: Maintain strong, professional client relationships
  • Systems: Use Xero, VT, IRIS, and TaxCalc effectively for day-to-day work
  • Compliance: Ensure all work meets regulatory and professional standards

Requirements:

  • Experience working within an accountancy practice environment, ideally including audit.
  • Undertaking professional study such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA (Desirable), part-qualified or qualified in one of these or qualified by experience
