Professional Technical is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for a leading automotive manufacturer in the East Midlands. Role Summary
You'll lead the design and development of vehicle components-especially chassis and powertrain-ensuring projects meet time, cost, quality, and specification requirements. As a senior team member, you'll handle more complex technical tasks and play a key role in cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver component design (chassis/powertrain) to defined targets.

  • Liaise with specialists and chief engineers to meet project goals.

  • Ensure alignment with cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

  • Collaborate across teams and suppliers to enhance efficiency.

  • Support project planning and risk escalation.

  • Assist with additional projects and duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Advanced proficiency in CREO and surface modeling.

  • Automotive/motorcycle industry design experience preferred.

  • Strong technical, detail-oriented, and communication skills.

  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and performance targets.
