The Company

Our client is a fast-growing QSR brand scaling rapidly through a nationwide network of franchised restaurants. They are investing heavily in their food offering and operational standards, and as part of that evolution, they have created a new role for an experienced NPD Food Technologist who will be the food lead for the group. This is a business with real momentum, a hands-on culture and the ambition to elevate product quality and consistency across every site.

The Role

This position sits at the heart of menu development, operational execution and product performance. You'll be developing new menu items from concept to launch, trialling ingredients, collaborating with suppliers and ensuring everything is scalable and commercially viable. Alongside the creative and technical development, you'll translate products into clear POS specifications that franchisees can execute consistently. Quality, safety and yield will be a core focus, and you'll play a key role in ensuring there is a robust QMS. You'll tighten processes, embed best practice and ensure every product meets the brand's standards. You'll also lead product start-up trials, validating performance in real-world conditions and protecting both customer experience and margin.

The Person

Ideally with a food science degree/qualification, you'll currently be in a factory-based NPD role, comfortable working with multiple ingredients, managing technical challenges and collaborating closely with multiple retailers. You'll have proven experience in the food industry, ideally within chilled recipe dish manufacturing, retail-facing NPD or broader food production. You'll bring a mix of creativity and rigour and have a genuine passion for developing great products but also understand the importance of process, structure and accuracy in a franchised QSR environment. If you want to take ownership, influence standards and help shape the menu of a business with big growth plans, this will be a brilliant next step.
