We're working with a specialist engineering company owned by National Gas, operating within its unregulated business arm. This gives you the unique opportunity to work not only with National Gas, but also with other key industry players such as SGN, NGN, Cadent, WWU, and major energy developers.

Job Title: Commissioning EngineerLocation: UK – Leicester, Ruddington, Warrington & Hybrid OptionsEmployment Type: Permanent What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative energy infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and advising on commissioning philosophies and strategies

  • Supporting and sometimes leading design development from concept to completion

  • Attending and contributing to Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FATs / SATs) and Field Process Safety Assessments (FPSAs)

  • On-site support during commissioning and initial operation phases

  • Ensuring compliance with high-pressure systems and relevant industry standards

  • Proven experience commissioning high-pressure gas systems, process plants, or similar

  • Ability to write and advise on commissioning philosophies, procedures, and testing documents

  • Experience with FPSAs, FATs, and safety-critical assessments

  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to engage confidently across engineering, operations, and client teams
