Salary: £18 - £20 per hour + Overtime + Benefits
Are you a skilled Gear Cutter with a passion for precision and quality? We're seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our established engineering firm, known for delivering high-spec components across automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors.
What You'll Do:

Operate manual and/or CNC gear cutting machines (e.g., hobbing, shaping, or grinding)

Work from detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications

Ensure gears meet stringent quality and tolerance standards

Perform setups, adjustments, and routine maintenance on gear cutting equipment

Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and customer requirements
What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in gear cutting (minimum 2 years)

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and measurements

Familiarity with gear types: spur, helical, bevel, worm, etc.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output

Knowledge of inspection tools and quality checks
Desirable (but not essential):

CNC programming skills

Experience in working with a range of materials (steel, brass, alloys)

Understanding of ISO quality standards
