Senior Credit Controller

The OpportunityAn established business within the construction industry is looking for an experienced Senior Credit Controller to manage a wide portfolio of both private and public sector clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of credit control operations and support strong cash flow management across multiple ledgers.
Key Responsibilities

Payment collections for approximately 200 clients

Ensuring accurate invoice distribution and client-specific process compliance

Resolving billing queries (including reconciliations, portal issues, and invoicing errors)

Raising credits and amending invoices to support payment

Liaising with project managers to expedite payment resolution

Maintaining contact databases and monitoring client credit limits

Identifying credit risks and escalating where appropriate

Daily cash allocation and updating payment promises

Supporting accurate cash forecasting
Essential Requirements
-
Minimum 5 years' experience in credit control, including 2 years in a senior position

Minimum 1 year experience within the construction industry

Strong time management and ability to multitask across ledgers

Self-motivated with a proven record of debt recovery

Solid understanding of credit risk and cash forecasting
Desirable Skills

Experience managing public sector debt

Background in project/time-based debt management

Access Dimensions system knowledge
-
Proficiency in Excel and Outlook
