Our client is a manufacturer of automated visual inspection machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Engineer.
The Role:
Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be responsible for build, testing, installation & commissioning of automated visual inspection equipment. Build and test work will be undertaken at our client's workshop near Leicester and installation and commissioning work will involve some worldwide travel.
Duties will include but is not limited to the following;
- Build bespoke control panels, cabinets and wiring harnesses
- Assembly of electronic components
- Testing of control panels and equipment before dispatch
- On-site equipment installations, commissioning and some repair work
- Provide online /telephone technical support when required
Candidate:
You will be an experienced electrical engineer with excellent electrical control panel building skills.
You will have 18th edition wiring regs certification and ideally NVQ3 in electrical engineering.
Applicants will have ability to assemble electronic components and candidates with experience in building personal computers and/or electrical circuit design would be beneficial.
You must be prepared to undertake worldwide travel as part of your role for up to 2 weeks at a time if required. Estimated one third of your time will be spent in the field and overseas.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 37hrs
