As a Timber Frame Designer, you will be a key member of the team in designing a range of timber frame solutions, working closely with both the company's production team and some external suppliers, so BIM will also be an element of your work.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Producing wall and floor panel designs, cutting lists and CNC files and generating BoMs and Take-offs
  • Coordinating floor and roof supplier information
  • Being on hand to give technical assistance to factory and site colleagues
  • Providing technical advice to factory and site teams


Do you have:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in MMC/Offsite Construction design, ideally timber frame
  • Good working knowledge of 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor) and ideally Mitek WoodEngine, Consultec, Wolf Horizon, hsbCAD or similar
  • Proven understanding of the materials/components for the construction of low-rise buildings
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships


Not essential but advantageous:

  • Experience in steel detailing and/or I-Joist floor design experience
  • Understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Qualification in Architectural Technology
