Aspire People are working on behalf of a primary school in Leicester to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child by providing 1:1 support.

About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a child who requires additional support in managing their emotions and behaviour within a primary school setting. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored support to a child with SEMH needs

Helping the child engage in class activities and maintain focus

Supporting the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and learning

Working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure the child's needs are met

Assisting with the delivery of behaviour management strategies

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally in an SEMH or SEN role

Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEMH needs

Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach

Ability to work collaboratively within a team

A passion for supporting children's educational and emotional development
