- Helping students regulate emotions and build positive behaviour routines
- Supporting learning in the classroom, outdoors and during creative activities
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students
- Implementing personalised behaviour and learning plans
- Encouraging independence, resilience and confidence
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young people (school, youth work, coaching, residential care etc.)
- Confident managing behaviour in a calm, supportive way
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
Sports coaches and candidates with mentoring experience often do particularly well in this setting.
Why This Role?
- Long-term role with a clear path to permanency
- Supportive staff team and small, calm learning environment
- Excellent training and development in SEMH and behaviour support
- Trial days available so you can get a feel for the school before committing
