Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Operative to join a growing manufacturing business in the Leicester area. This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on approach, a good work ethic, and experience in using hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out basic mechanical assembly work using various hand and power tools
  • Follow work instructions and diagrams to assemble parts to specification
  • Perform quality checks to ensure completed work meets required standards
  • Support general workshop duties as needed
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
  • Keep the work area clean, tidy, and safe

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in mechanical or basic assembly work (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Must be physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
  • Comfortable using hand tools and small machinery
  • Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks
