My client, a large, forward-thinking Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Civil Engineer to join their experienced team of design engineers, based in the historical, culturally-diverse city of Leicester.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in the Civil Engineering sector, particularly in a consulting role
- An appropriate academic qualification in Civil Engineering
- Experience of liaising with a range of clients, across the public and private sectors
- Knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements and their applications
- Good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and others
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to possess the following skills:

- A willingness to engage with a variety of projects, gaining hands-on experience
In the varied role of Civil Engineer, you will join a dedicated team of experts in the field, with a view to developing your career and progress through the ranks. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:
- Contributing to a range of design projects at all stages of the process, from initial inception through to delivery
- Preparation of fee proposals and tenders, drawing upon commercial and technical experience
- Assisting with the production of Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
- Producing conceptual drainage design (incorporating SuDS techniques), as well as adoptable roads and highways
- Submitting a number of calculations, drawings, and reports to senior colleagues for review
- Presenting clients with practical risk mitigation, recommendations, and commercial advice
