We are seeking a motivated Buyer to join our clients team and provide expertise in supply network solutions. If you have a knack for identifying cost-saving opportunities and building strong supplier relationships, this is the role for you.

Location: Desford
Contract: 12-month contract
Pay Rate: 19.90 - 20.90 per hour
Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday

The Role:

As a Buyer you will be instrumental in developing, managing, and executing an indirect purchasing category strategy. Your primary focus will be on delivering maximum value by utilising the Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development and Management (QCLDM) framework. You will act as a key liaison between our organisation and our suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the indirect purchasing category strategy, including policies and agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost decreases, inventory reductions, and quality improvements.
  • Assess business proposals and manage risk.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the company and suppliers.
  • Monitor and document supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery and production.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. You should possess a keen eye for detail and the right attitude to thrive in a dynamic environment.
