We are recruiting for a fantastic, hardworking and committed public sector procurement team, in sourcing a procurement manager to cover all procurement areas other than IT and adult social care. This interim role will be 2-6 months and ideally will start ASAP. 

You will manage the entire procurement process for your area, meaning will you need to be hands on and happy to get stuck into all parts of the procurement process. 

In order to be considered for this role, you will have the following:

  • Confident in operating under Procurement Act 2023
    • Includes timely publishing of notices under the Act
  • Procurement Act 2023 Practitioner (Government Commercial College TPP training)
  • Will be involved in end-to-end procurement of Goods, Services, Works (except ICT, Social Care, Light Touch) 
  • Confident in using eTendering system (Proactis preferable but training can be provided)
  • Able to work independently
  • Hands on: drafting documents, notices etc
  • Proactive approach: actively working on allocated matters and seeking specialist input where required
  • Willing to ‘do the doing’ there will be no admin support, and progress a number of projects
  • Happy to work in the office once a week (currently Tuesday)
