Our client, a well-established and reputable firm based in Leicester, is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Prepare and review statutory year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Lead and assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Manage VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accurately complete Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns in line with HMRC regulations
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, responding to day-to-day queries with professionalism and efficiency
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to internal audit procedures
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of junior team members


Candidate Profile:
 

  • ACCA/ICAEW qualified (or equivalent)

  • Proven experience in accounts preparation, corporation tax, and ideally audit

  • Strong working knowledge of accountancy software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, IRIS)

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines

  • Demonstrated experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff
