About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 30 bedded care home located in Leicester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality care to the elderly and a strong background in managing a care home facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the care home, including staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and services for residents
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of care staff, ensuring they are providing compassionate and effective care to residents
  • Monitor and maintain the care home's budget, including managing expenses and revenue
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including CQC guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for residents and staff
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
  • Handle any complaints or concerns from residents or their families in a professional and timely manner
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the care home's services and facilities to meet the changing needs of residents
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role in a care home setting
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of budget management and financial planning
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
