About the Home

Our purpose-built home in Braunstone provides a safe and nurturing space for up to three young people at a time. It’s designed to support emotional well-being, build confidence, and encourage social and life skills. While Braunstone will be your main base, flexibility is essential—you may occasionally be required to support homes in Hinckley, Coalville, or Syston.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trusting, nurturing relationships that promote independence and emotional development

  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and external professionals

  • Assist with day-to-day household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a positive home environment

  • Keep accurate and timely records and documentation

  • Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the safety and well-being of every young person

  • Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere

What We’re Looking For
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or a willingness to complete it within the agreed timeframe

  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people

  • Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays

  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential—a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key
