Logistics Lead

Morson Talent are delighted to present an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Logistics Lead to join our client’s established team in Suffolk. This is a (renewable) contract position (Inside IR35). All work is associated with construction of a major energy infrastructure Project- part of the energy mix involved in driving the UK towards its net-zero targets.


As Logistics Lead, you will have responsibility for the planning and delivery of logistics for the Civil Works Programme, working collaboratively with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) and Site Operations teams. This is a senior leadership role with real impact – you will shape how people, materials, and systems flow across complex construction sites.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage logistics interfaces between our client and the CWA, including handover protocols.
  • Establish and lead all site logistics support: labour, plant, materials, accommodation, transport, emergency arrangements, and security.
  • Systemise working practices to boost efficiency, drawing on (client) lessons learnt from other major UK construction projects
  • Lead site-wide coordination of traffic management, access control, and operative accommodation.
  • Build the logistics budget, ensuring alignment with delivery teams and transparent cost allocation.
  • Promote the Logistics function within the wider Project to ensure integration and support for construction targets.

Criteria:

  • Proven logistics leadership experience on major infrastructure or construction programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across delivery, operations, and alliance partners.
  • Familiarity with nuclear or highly regulated environments is a plus.
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work at pace.
