Our client are a leading Builders Merchant providing building supplies to a mixture of contrators, house builders, housing associations and end users.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Sales person to join their busy and successful branch in Hertfordshire. This is a Senior Sales position within the branch which will be telesales based and will have the following responsibilities:
- Taking telephone sales enquiries ensuring high levels of customers service are given at all times
- Provide quotations both over the phone and via emails
- Manage the sales process from start to finish
- Liaise with transport to ensure that customers are informed of any changes to their delivery times and dates
- Build lasting relationships with your customers to ensure repeat business from them
- Call your customers on a regular basis to update them with any sales and offers on within the branch
- Call lapsed accounts and non-spending accounts to try and get them spending with the company again
- Maintain a strong margin to ensure the best possible sales price is attained
- Cross basket sell by finding out what job the customer has and find out what other products can be provided by the company
Due to the nature of the Builders Merchant industry, previous experience working in Building Supplies will be required to be successful in this job.

- Basic salary of up to c35,000 depending on experience
