QA & Compliance Coordinator

Reporting to: Head of PMO

Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 45 hours per week, Hybrid working

Department: Quality & Compliance

Location: Brighton/Lewes

Salary: £25-30k competitive depending on experience

Project Partners are now recruiting for a QA Compliance Coordinator based in and around Brighton and Lewes. Are you a compliance professional? Do you have a background in Utilities and Civils?

Role Purpose:

The Compliance Desk is responsible for ensuring that all works projects adhere to regulatory standards, company policies, and industry’s best practices. The QA & Compliance Coordinator role involves monitoring compliance activities, maintaining records to ensure that all civil engineering works are executed in accordance with legal and safety requirements. The QA & Compliance Coordinator plays a crucial role in mitigating risks, promoting a culture of compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Role Summary:

 

  • Compliance Monitoring: Review and monitor works projects to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, satisfying customer requirements and safe working practice. Identify potential compliance issues and work with teams to resolve issues.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Ensure the business maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance activities, including permits, inspections, and audits.
  • Incident Reporting: Manage and report any compliance incidents or breaches, and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the implementation of company policies and procedures related to compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving compliance processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post

Candidate Experience Required:

  • Previous compliance desk experience desirable
  • Water/utility network experience is desirable
  • Experience / understanding of one or more of a Works Management System, Excel, Power BI etc.
  • Able to write and present reports in a concise but interesting manner
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Proficient on MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
