We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is a leading "Top 200" Law Firm and a trusted provider of wealth management services, with a proud heritage dating back to 1856. Based in Lincolnshire and across the Midlands, they are one of the oldest law firms in the UK. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their highly regarded Personal and Business Dispute Resolution Team.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:15 (36.25 hours per week)Salary: Competitive, based on experience

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and structured individual who is confident in handling a broad range of civil litigation matters. You will play a key role in managing a varied caseload while supporting the growth of the department and contributing to the firm’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a mixed caseload of civil litigation, including:

    • Commercial and residential Landlord and Tenant matters

    • Consumer Law issues

    • Boundary disputes

    • Contentious probate

  • Proactively generate new business and convert enquiries into instructions

  • Support departmental marketing initiatives to enhance the firm’s reputation and visibility

  • Deliver exceptional client service in line with the firm's quality and risk management procedures

  • Maximise cross-referral opportunities across the firm

  • Meet fee income targets and contribute to departmental objectives

  • Stay current with legal developments and maintain high standards of professional competence

  • Ensure strong financial control, particularly in billing and cashflow management

  • Keep accurate records of time spent on client matters

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive

  • Experience in a wide range of civil litigation matters

  • Strong commercial awareness and client development skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

  • A proactive approach to business development and marketing
