First Choice Staff is working with a well-established global logistics provider; seeking for a Logistics Agent to join the Team, based in Witham St Hughs . This is a Temp to Perm (TTP) contract. If you have the aptitude to show your own initiative and have a keen eye for detail, this could be the rewarding role for you.
Duties:
- Handling internal & external customer calls.
- Dealing with customer enquiries, problem solving and responding to ad-hoc situationsin accordance with company procedures.
- Imports/Exports, track & trace of inbound/export shipments.
- Dealing with 3rd party suppliers/subcontractors regards PODs.
- Updating customer on a regular basis with the status of their shipments.
- Ensure the redistribution is dealt with in accordance to global standards.
- Dealing from small and up to pallet size shipments.
- Covering the depot's reception and dealing with return consignments.
- On a daily basis, completing data entry, shipment processing & completion of various office reports
- Represent the company in a professional and efficient manner at all times - Face to face, by phone and written correspondence.
- Assisting with other administrative and operational tasks, as and when required.
Key skills and requirements:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- IT Conversant with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Numerical aptitude, flexible and able to meet industrys requirements
- Able to use initiative and take responsibility where appropriate
- Enthusiastic, on the go and great team player
- As per DfT/CAA legislation 5 years referencing - Required
- CRB Check/Basic Disclosure - Required
- Previous experience in Freight or Cargo Logistics would be great advantage but not essential.
Additional:
Contracted - Mon - Fri 14:00hrs - 20:00hrs
Hourly rate per working hour: £13.01-£15.72
