Rubicon Consultingis currently recruiting for a Sourcing / Purchasing Specialist on a 10 month contract based in Lisburn.

Role Summary
You will be a member of small local Sourcing Team, ultimately supporting supply chain activities to ensure; all new, transfer projects & existing supply chain maintains delivery of a quality product, on time & best price.

Carry out & assess RFQs criteria across multiple commodities to local / global suppliers, demonstrating focus on quality, on time delivery (replenishment strategies discussions) & best pricing.
Support internal stakeholder/cross functional teams on 1) New Product Introductions projects (NPI), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) affecting parts/supplier changes, with focus on best delivery, quality & price.
Support engineering project teams on supplier quotes, supplier selection, pricing, on time delivery.

Lead cross functional periodic Supplier Reviews
Support site Buyers / Production Quality / engineering for any escalations on component supply challenges

Requirements

Previous experience of working in a senior buying role (min 2 years), ideally within a manufacturing environment, including strong understanding of inventory replenishment strategies & proven experience managing price & delivery negotiations.
Strong negotiator, influencer & problem solver.
Strong communicator, proficient in MS Excel
Commercially astute

3rd level qualification
Experience handling RFQs among global suppliers & stablishing / supporting Supplier Qualification & Approvals / Evaluation
Experience in driving on-going Supplier Reviews
Experience managing component shortage recovery & pro-actively managing Supply Chain risk mitigation strategies
