Your new companyHays Education are working with a primary school in Huyton that is looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join them from September. This is a full-time, long-term job until at least July 2026. Your new roleThis role involves working 1:1 with a pupil in year 1 with learning difficulties and some behavioural issues. You will be working alongside the pupil in the classroom, supporting them with their learning, but may also take them outside the classroom for intervention sessions. This role is 08:30-15:30 and is 5 days per week. What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, you will need a full DBS on the update service or the documents to apply for one as well as:

  • A full right to work in the UK
  • 2+ years of experience working in schools/with children
  • Experience de-escalating behaviour
  • Knowledge of safeguarding
  • Teaching Assistant Qualification is desirable
