Reed Accountancy and Finance have recently partnered up with a business who are looking for a Management Accountant/Finance Manager to join their team. This is a standalone position with an entity part of a bigger group and is a very exciting opportunity for someone who has similar experience and looking to take on additional responsibility or someone looking for a new challenge.

This is a diverse role and will cover many areas of Accountancy including month end processes, audit, AP/AR and others and would suit a candidate with all round experience in accounts.

The Role:

  • Financial Reporting & Budgeting - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support business decisions.
  • Audit & Compliance - Lead internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
  • Accounting Management - Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Treasury & Cash Flow Management - Handle payment schedules, vendor transactions, and financial forecasting.
  • Contract & Administrative Oversight - Manage contracts, insurance policies, and relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strategic Cost Optimization - Implement cost-saving initiatives and improve financial processes for efficiency.
  • Tax Management - Ensure accurate tax filings, VAT submissions, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Process Improvement & Systems Optimization - Enhance financial procedures, streamline ERP usage, and refine accounting workflows for better efficiency.

The Person:

  • Fully qualified, partially qualified, or actively pursuing ACCA or CIMA certification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role ideally 3-5 years
  • Strong understanding of core accounting principles, including cost analysis and taxation.
  • Capable of working independently with a proactive and self-driven approach.
  • Highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Previous involvement in business transformation or organizational change projects is advantageous.
  • Exceptional precision and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Experience with Sage is preferrable but not essential
