Assistant Accountant - Tax | Permanent |up to £35,000 | Merseyside

Client:Castlefield Recruitment are working with a public sector organisation in Merseyside in order to appoint a Tax Assistant Accountant to their growing and busy team. The role will offer hybrid working as well as other excellent employee benefits.

Duties will include:

  • Producing accurate data for VAT, CIS and corporation tax returns
  • Assisting with tac compliance for the organisation – VAT, CIS and corporation tax
  • Assisting with submitting annual tax computations
  • Living and working with wider team to provide accurate tax advice
  • Impacting and implementing continuous improvement to financial controls, policies and procedures

The successful candidate:

  • Experience working in a Tax position previously is essential (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience working within public sector is highly desirable (Charity, Local Government, NHS, Education, Not-for-profit, Social Housing)
  • Part-qualified, AAT or equivalent
