Duty Solicitor – Crime DepartmentLocation: Liverpool/WidnesSalary: £38,000–£48,000 depending on experienceJob Type: Full-time My client, a leading and forward-thinking law firm, is looking for a passionate Duty Solicitor to join their Criminal Law team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact, with the chance to undertake Duty on the Cheshire rota scheme from October 2025. You’ll provide expert advice to both private and publicly funded clients across all areas of criminal law — from investigation through to conclusion. While having your own client case would be ideal, it’s not essential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional client care in line with the firm’s high standards
  • Prepare Magistrates and Crown Court cases (optional)
  • Support business development and community engagement (ESG programme)
  • Work towards LAA Supervisor status (if not already held)

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Confident IT user with a flexible and reliable approach
